Choreographer and dancer Vera Mantero, with nearly forty years of career, is a central figure in contemporary Portuguese dance. Trumpeter, improviser, and composer Susana Santos Silva, based in Sweden, is a key name in the European jazz scene.

Born from an encounter between these two artists in Porto in 2022, during the presentation of Vera Mantero’s solos at Serralves, this project brings them together on stage for the first time in an interdisciplinary creation. Both have unique artistic trajectories, consistently exploring diverse artistic fields—music, visual arts, multimedia—making this a rare opportunity to experience their artistic worlds colliding.

This creation takes as its starting point an improvisational exploration of movement, gestures, words, and more.
