Considered by many to be the natural successor to Cesária Évora, Nancy Vieira is one of the most renowned artists who is currently exploring the immense musical heritage of Cape Verde. In her latest album, "Gente", scheduled for release in early 2024, from which there will be a live performance at Manta, Nancy Vieira is accompanied by her usual band members, including several musicians from Cesária Évora's group. "Gente" is produced by Amélia Muge, José Martins and Nancy Vieira, and includes the development of encounters of ideas between musicians from various countries, genres, age groups and feelings.
