For Palácio Vila Flor, the artist duo Daniel Moreira and Rita Castro Neves create a space of confluences based on the experience of darkness. The artists explore the possibility of showing things from darkness in order to continue their search into how to represent that which lies outside, in the immense expanse of the territory. The exhibition evokes the confusion of times – of walking, being and doing, and the world’s fluid and cloudy contours. We sometimes have to close our eyes in order to concentrate, strive to understand space, and penetrate pitch darkness to be able to see better.
