A Prática do Infinito pela Leitura
The main focus and starting point of the exhibition, The Practice of the Infinite Through Reading, is the intersection of two points: Pascal Quignard’s work “The Reader” and works by 31 plastic artists associated with the idea of reading. These intersecting dialogues propose a broad interpretation, that creates a total reading space - a place of interpretive movement.
In addition to the different works and texts displayed in dialogue, multiple reading scenarios will also be created, in close collaboration with the artist, Lea Managil, unveiling a possible reading movement, that will welcome this community of solitary readers. A multidisciplinary space that will combine different voices, images and sounds, mapping the intimate and biographical path of the language of each Reader.
From the solitary journey to the community presence of the text.
The exhibition’s inaugural session includes a performance/improvisation of several texts, featuring the voice of António Poppe.
