In a musical journey down memory lane, Mário Laginha and Pedro Burmester perform works by Piazzolla, Ravel, Laginha and Sassetti. From tango to bolero, they play with the contagious language of jazz in a classical format, visiting the singular and poetic work of Bernardo Sassetti, a close friend and colleague of Laginha and Burmester – a sparkling star whose light went out too soon. The sadness of Sassetti's absence is largely overcome by the greater soulfulness conveyed by his music.
