“TANZANWEISUNGEN” (Dance instructions) is a solo performance filled with self reflective and ironic references, that defy any specific definition. Ostruschnjak remains faithful to the eclectic style of his most recent productions and allows his soloist – the amazing dancer, Daniel Conant – to lead us through an extremely diverse and demanding canon of movement, in which, in rapid succession, he assumes poses of resistance, combat and victory, of stylised masculinity, classical ballet, ballroom dancing and sport, in a maddening pulse of divergent elements that exaggerate, ironise and contradict, as if obeying a mandatory instruction that leads us to an abyss.
